MISSION

Promotion of excellence, quality, professionalism and effectiveness in public health practice.

 

GOAL

To promote professional education, research and practice in all facets of population-based activities to prevent premature death, disability and diseases and to promote human health status.

 

OBJECTIVES

1. To organize scholars, scientists, technologist, other professionally-trained persons and organizations in the public health fields into a body for purpose of working together to actualize the mission of the Association.

2. To carry out sustained advocacy with Governments, corporate organizations and non-governmental organizations for the attainment of the mission of the Association.

3. To promote research and consultancy in all areas of public health programming.

4. To serve as a clearing house for information and innovation in public health disciplines.

5. To promote professional development of the Public Health field through recognitions and the promotion of opportunities for professional growth.

6. To review programs (curriculum, resources and required internship experience) of professional training in public health disciplines and grant recognition to programs meeting standards set up by the Association and to register graduates of such programs as associates of the Association.
